Hakone Daimyo gyoretsu will be held on Nov.3, (Culture Day, National holiday)this year. I took picture a few years ago,but it is very difficult to choose a picture that might notinfringe on portrait right. If you are interested in Japanese costumeof daimyo (feudal lord's), it would be worth visiting. I will upload some pictures in my facebook album.

I went to Kawasaki to watch Kawasaki Halloween Parade. 　It was very fun event but some spectators entered road that was prohibited to pass. I felt organizer should hire security personnel. They had "Dog Halloween Parade" last Sunday. I also wanted to see dog parade. As for lunch, I ate ramen at "Nanttsu-tei" If you like tonkotsu ramen, maybe you like black soup taste. I have not been to Yoyogi park for a long time so I did not know that there was rose garden and dog run.There was no toilet paper at toilet so pocket tissue is absolutely necessary if you go on picnic. Yokohama Oktoberfest 2008 was held at Red brick warehouse on Oct.3-13. I enjoyed eating Frankfurt sausage and German beer (Spaten Franziskner?). At Tokyo gas cooking class, we cooked tortilla and pinacolada.(drink a la pinacolada). Tacas were arranged for Japanese taste but it was tasty.Last week, I participated in Tokyo vegan meetup and Better read than dead book club. Tortilla might be good for home party.

We made cream puff and eclair. For filling, we use custard cream(with brandy, vanilla beans) and dairy cream. My husband wasvery glad to them. I do not mean to buy cream puff at conveniencestore any more as factory made cream puff contains a lot of additives.

I attended Vegan meetup held at Pink Cow at Shibuya on April 17.Although it was rainy, chilly day, aprox. 40 peple gathered at thevenue. I participated in cooking class at Tokyo gas. We coockedBeef rice with demiglace sauceEggplant marinettePudding with strawberry sauceWe used red wine for cooking beef rice. As we did not taketime in making sauce, rice tasted sour. Pudding with strawberry sauce was good. It was easy to cook.

I went to the Kodomo sizen koen (Natural park for children)to see cherry blossoms and animals. At mini zoo, you couldsee cow, pony, pig, rabbit etc. On Saturdays, you couldtouch small animals.I was very disappointed to see that mini zoo had been closed.All the animals had been moved to Kanazawa zoo on Jan 282008.

Cherry blossoms are in full bloom in Yokohama.I always bring lunch box prepared in the morningand eat at office.As I do not like staying all day at office, I usuallygoing out after eating lunch. Today, I find good place to eat lunch. It is very quiet place with small rever reflecting cherryblossoms and forsythia. Next week, I would like to eat lunchat this place.
