Hakone Daimyo Gyoretsu (feudal lord's procession)

Image
Hakone Daimyo gyoretsu will be held on Nov.3, (Culture Day, National holiday) this year. I took picture a few years ago, but it is very difficult to choose a picture that might not infringe on portrait right. If you are interested in Japanese costume of daimyo (feudal lord's), it would be worth visiting. I will upload some pictures in my facebook album.

Kawasaki Halloween Parade

Image
I went to Kawasaki to watch Kawasaki Halloween Parade . It was very fun event but some spectators entered road that was prohibited to pass. I felt organizer should hire security personnel. They had "Dog Halloween Parade" last Sunday. I also wanted to see dog parade. As for lunch, I ate ramen at " Nanttsu-tei " If you like tonkotsu ramen, maybe you like black soup taste. (Link site is Japanese only).

Yoyogi park

Image
I have not been to Yoyogi park for a long time so I did not know that there was rose garden and dog run. There was no toilet paper at toilet so pocket tissue is absolutely necessary if you go on picnic. I saw people juggling, playing sanshin, Aborigine instrument. It was quite interesting. This park is good place for walking with dog. I attended "Better than dead book club" at night held at Michelangelo cafe at Daikanyama. Food of this restaurant is delicious and not so expensive. Pasta set for dinner was 2000 yen.

Yokohama Octoberfest 2008

Image
Yokohama Oktoberfest 2008 was held at Red brick warehouse on Oct.3-13. I enjoyed eating Frankfurt sausage and German beer (Spaten Franziskner?). I listened to band "Talbach-Buam" sang ''Ein prosit der gemuetlichkeit". Actually there were too many people on weekends. If I did not check schedule of live performance, it would be difficult to see the stage.Even if you could not watch the performance, there were a lot of alternative live (many of them were free of charge). as Yokohama Jazz Promenade was held on Oct 11 and 12.

Trip Advisor asked me to write in Japanese but

I received a mail from Trip Advisor asking me to write travel report in Japanese. As opening event of Trip Advisor in Japanese version, they seem to collect a lot of posting in Japanese. Before I traveled to Kauai, I get a lot of useful info from Trip Advisor, but as for Trip Advisor JP, there were very few info and I did not see them. Actually, I wonder why Trip Advisor JP shows info of already closed hotel. (Molokai Ranch etc.) In my opinion, travel info site on Hawaii in Japanese text is a little different from what I would like to know. There are a lot of data of shopping(where to purchase "brand" clothing & bag) and picture of restaurants. Nowadays, there are a lot of blogs written in Japanese. Some blogs are interesting and helpful but I am not delighted to see such blogs that contains a lot of picture of other people (foreigners)and painted out their own face. (It is against law to show pictures of other people without permission. Pics painted out one part are some
